Attend the Early Childhood Education Summit-- help launch a campaign to expand access to pre-K across the city.

CTU, SEIU Health Care, and parents from across the city will meet, share experiences, and begin to work towards creating a system that provides universal access to high quality preschool for all of Chicago’s families.

Quality preschool programs have a demonstrated track record of success in improving children’s academic, social, and physical well-being. Yet over the past few years, decreases in funding have eliminated preschool opportunities for 25,000 children across Illinois. In Chicago, CPS and its Ready to Learn program has set up barriers for parents—through centralized enrollment, the imposition of fees, the closure of Child Parent Centers, school closings, and other changes.

We need you to join the campaign to demand expanded full-day preschool programs across Chicago!

Teachers, paraprofessionals, clinicians, parents, community partners – all are welcome!
